Not quite the Great Smokeys…

One of the biggest blessings in my life is my family.  I grew up in the Great Flat State of Indiana, and my husband grew up in Dover.  Two different upbringings, but very similar family values.

My in-laws have a truly amazing view from their back porch here in Dover.  Their house sits perched up on a tall bluff that overlooks a valley below teeming with wildlife.  Some years it grows bountifully with wildflowers.  I took this picture towards the end of a summer that wild Black-Eyed Susan had sprung up and turned the scene below into a yellow-carpeted wonderland.  It had just rained that day and you can see some of the smoke rising up out of the holler.  Stewart County really is magical!
